BAD crafts website

The other night my co-worker Heidi showed us this website that is all about bad crafts. The address is www.glittergonebad.blogspot.com . They've got all sorts of bad crafts, including wrist warmers, vegetable sac holders, homemade crocheted tampons, and even a crocheted doll giving birth. To see them you might have to go look at the older posts. We were laughing so hard, my tummy hurt! They're awful crafts, but hilarious!

Thank you!!!

Thanks to all of you who prayed for us during these horrendous last 2 1/2 months. Elijah is finally employed and is starting his fabulous new job on Monday! We're so excited for him! Although it'll be rough for us - we'll both be in school and both working full-time, it'll be great to catch up on some bills and not feel like we're hibernating in our house ALL the time. I'll also be back to being a mom full-time and being VERY sleep deprived, so if I snap at you, you'll know why! haha JK I'll keep a tight leash on myself LOL
Here's the website of where Elijah will be working- hopefully he'll win stuff to bring me home, I'm very excited about their products! - http://www.huggermugger.com/ I'm hoping to lose some weight by doing yoga, so it's awesome he got this job!

Valentine's Day in the gutter.

Elijah and I had planned to go to a movie (that's because we have free movie tickets, otherwise there was no way we could do it) yesterday afternoon while my mom watched Jacen for us. We figured we'd go in the afternoon after I woke up because I had worked the whole night before.
So as I was leaving the hospital that morning, I was crossing the street to get to the parking lot, and it was snowing. As soon as I was about to step onto the sidewalk, I slipped (mind you, both my legs left the ground at that terrifying moment), and fell HARD on my bottom. My backpack was probably the only thing that saved me from getting knocked out and getting a broken tailbone.
I tried to get up on my own but I was in too much pain to do it myself, and turns out there was NO ONE leaving the hospital at that time, so I layed there and cried for a few minutes, while the snow accumulated on my face. Eventually a good samaritan that was driving down the street saw me laying on the gutter and stopped to help me up. I praised the heavens!
Because I couldn't sit down for the rest of the day, we didn't go on a date :( I spent most of the day in bed hurting. But it felt better to stand, so I decided to make Hawaiian Meatballs on Rice for dinner, and it was very yummy (thanks to Nikki's recipe)! And then after we put Jacen to bed, we watched Wall-E. What a cute movie!
We sure hope everyone else had a better Valentine's Day than we did- mine was partly spent in the gutter.

10 months old!

*Sigh*... Jacen is now 10 months old. He's definitely not much of a baby anymore (like another fellow blogger of mine pointed out eheh). He loves to stand to look at things, and definitely pull out all the clothes in his drawers.
He doesn't really pull himself up all the way, but he does pull himself up to kneeling position. He's really good at saying "dada" and sometimes says "mum" and "up". He claps and waves hi and bye-bye. It's adorable!

Elijah obviously had to pull out the jersey today because BYU is playing Air Force in men's basketball. So the little one had to be ready! It's size 18-months and it fits him well, he's mostly wearing 18 months-2T clothes. Today he weighed 24.4 lbs and measured 30 1/2 inches long. He did lose a little bit of weight because last week he got the flu and he didn't eat much. That was the first time he's ever been sick (besides his 7-week long newborn jaundice), and although he was sick and clingy, he was still a very happy baby. We couldn't have asked for a better baby!
