So Silvia decided to start blogging because our families are so far apart, that it's hard to keep up with everyone and their lives!
Here's a little of what's been going on in our lives:
Elijah: he works for Franklin Templeton Investments in the Collections department. He really likes to work for them, especially now that he was transferred from one team to another. So far it's been going well. No signs of layoffs or firings ahead! He's also keeping himself busy with school. He has just started to work on his Bachelor's of Criminal Justice degree through Florida Tech. He has been very excited to go to school and get it over and done with! It's been a few years since he last studied for classes so this is quite different for all of us.
Silvia: she just got transferred from Intermountain Medical Center Maternity to LDS Hospital Maternity doing secretarial stuff. She now works at LDS and IMC Labor and Delivery. It's quite the excitement for her as she gets adjusted to new work, but that's just how life is. She is trying to go to school in the fall and finish her last semester of pre-req's for Nursing School. It may not happen due to financial distress, so we'll see.
Jacen: he has been quite the happy baby! He is trying so hard to start laughing, but he's not quite there yet. He is a big boy, and gets cuter every day! He just barely started to sleep 11 hrs/night and that has been a relief for his parents. They can finally get a good night's rest! He is a good baby. Sometimes he has his fussy days if he doesnt get his naps, but overall he's fantastic!
His next doctor's appt is not until mid-August so we'll keep you up on his growth.
This week we're very busy with Victor and his departure to the MTC. We're excited for him but at the same time we're sad that he'll be gone for two years. Elijah is quite the upset one because he's losing his video game playing partner. Eventually he'll get over it. LOL :D Silvia is sad too because she knows it'll be difficult for her mom. We're sure our call volume from her house will increase significantly over the next few days!
Please leave us messages so we know what's going on in your lives!
Toodles!

Hei, voces tres! Aqui eh o velho pai e agora novo avo, feliz com vcs estando felizes e torcendo pra que vcs tenham sucesso. Sei que estão trabalhando bastante pra isso. Tudo vale a pena!
My dad wrote:

One poet from the state we're from wrote: 'God gives everyone at birth, one star. Some people turn them into Suns. Others can't even see them!'- Helena Colody.
I will always check out your blog.
Kisses, with love. Dad. (Silvia: translate it for Elijah because I am too lazy to write it in English....)
Silvia, thanks so much for showing this to me! This is a great idea and I'll be showing it to Jake tomorrow so we can start one ourselves. It's so nice to be able to know more about what's going on with everyone since we're so far apart.
Anyway, thanks again and I love you all so much!
Hi Jacen! This is your Grandma Caswell! I love you so very much! You are getting so big. Grandpa and I wish we were closer to you and your mommy and daddy. Maybe someday we will be. I love your blog. It is really nice and the pictures brought tears to our eyes. LOVE YOU
Hi Jenn!
We're glad you like it. It's fun to put it together because it can be how you want it to be. If you need help with it let me know. I actually enjoyed this because it reminds me of scrapbooking and you know what my creativity level is like. LOL
TTYL!

Hi Grandma and Grandpa Caswell!
I'm getting so big mommy can't hardly hold me anymore. Mommy and daddy call me Mr. Cranky Pants because I've been teething and it hurts! But I'm a good boy overall- at least that's what they tell me....
The other day mommy showed me a picture of my friend Jesus Christ and it was nice to see Him again. I smiled and stared at Him for a long time because He was a good friend of mine and I still have good memories of Him. My mommy cried tears of joy and I know her testimony was strengthened.
I miss you and will see you around Christmas time!
Love,
Jacen
